Join us for Skulls for the Throne, a one day Warhammer 40K RRT event at Hobby Lords Newmarket Store! Rally your forces, prepare for battle, and compete for glory with awesome prizes up for grabs!
Skulls for the Throne is a Warhammer 40,000 one day RTT event hosted by Hobby Lords Newmarket, in Auckland, New Zealand. The event will be 3 rounds, 16 players using Warhammer 40,000 10th Edition rules and the Chapter Approved 2025/26 Mission Decks. The event will be using WTC terrain format as well as the WTC FAQs.
The entry fee is $45. Entry fee must be in by the 13th of July 2025 unless discussed with the T/O (Edwin Khor).
Army Lists & List Submission
Armies for Skulls for the Throne 25 must be built using the Strike Force category; 2000 points at maximum and follow the 10 Edition rules for list building. Forge world datasheets are allowed but Legends are not. All Enhancements MUST be included and easily identifiable on the army list at the time of submission and must include which character in the unit is bearing the Enhancement. Your warlord must also be specified in the list. Codices and supplements released before the 13th of July 2025 and FAQs Before the 13th of July 2025 will be in full effect. Army lists MUST be submitted to Best Coast Pairings by 11:59 PM Sunday 20th of July 2025 and will be released for public viewing a day after assuming there are no errors.
Army Presentation Requirement
All armies must be at a “Battle Ready” standard, so 3 colours minimum and basing. If you are unsure about what this is, please look at GW’s Battle-Ready guide. All armies MUST be WYSIWYG, conversion and 3D printed parts are okay and encouraged so long as they are easily identifiable as the model the conversions are supposed to represent. Fully 3D printed models MUST meet the same footprint/silhouette as the models they are meant to represent. Please contact the T/O to have 3D-printed models and conversions approved. The cut-off date for getting models approved is the 13th of July 2025. Missions Missions will be randomly generated once all lists are submitted and confirmed and follow the standard GT rules. Round 1 pairing will be random and pairings from round 2 onwards will be random within the same win-loss bracket.
