Warhammer 40k Cinematic Universe is COMING!

Warhammer 40k was created 37 years ago, and today it stands as the biggest table top game in the world.

What started off as a small independent studio creating some whacky stories with the miniatures to go along side them, has turned into an absolute power house, firing up more books than any other table top game, and would easily be in the Top 5 worldwide IP's for the sheer amount of Lore it continues to bring out for its games.

 

 

But today things have changed, we received word this morning that Henry Cavill's team has finished negotiations with Games Workshop and Amazon to bring forth the Warhammer Cinematic Universe.

“My incredible team and I, alongside the brilliant minds at Games Workshop, have been working away in concept rooms, breaking down approaches to the enormity and magnificence of the Warhammer world. Together, we've been sifting through the plethora of incredible characters and poring over old tomes and texts. Our combined efforts have led us to a fantastic place to start our Universe, which has been agreed upon by those up on high at both Amazon and Games Workshop. But where could they start?

In Warhammer, They have the ‘Black Library’, quite literally a library's worth full of lore and books they could bring forth into the Cinematic Universe, but what is the likely candidates? 

The Horus Heresy - The 7 Year Universe spanding conflict that almost killed the Emperor Outright, cast down his favoured son, divided brothers and friends in the ultimate clash that saw trillions of troops waging war across the galaxy, with it ultimately ending in an all out attack on Terra(Earth) itself!

The Indomitus Crusade - The lore in recent years has pushed the Indomitus Crusade, Humanities first new expansion in 10,000 years!  Roboute Guilliman - Son of the Emperor, who took up his fathers sword and leads in his stead, is in complete control of humanities armies and is waging war in the name of the Imperium, to expand its borders and secure its defenses.

 

The Eisenhorn Novels - Probably one of the more fan favourite series, depicts Inquisitor Eisenhorn as he routes out all manners of Chaos and Evil from the Imperium, with his…alternative tactics, it makes for very enjoyable books, but this would also make for some great movies/shows!

Thats it for my top 3 picks - no matter what they end up choosing, Henry Cavill is probably the best person to lead this Cinematic Universe! And we wait eagerly to see what comes out first!
