Cardfight!! Vanguard is a fast-paced and exciting Trading Card Game where players build decks centered around their chosen unit, the Vanguard, and battle to be the first to deal six damage to their opponent. 

Unlike many other TCGs, Cardfight!! Vanguard introduces the dynamic drive check mechanic, a feature that adds suspense to every turn. During the battle phase, players reveal cards from the top of their deck to potentially trigger powerful effects and turn the tide of the game in an instant, if the defender is not careful.

Similar to other TCG’s colour systems, Cardfight!! Vanguard's deck-building follows a nation system, where each nation specializes in different playstyles, ensuring that there is a deck for everyone; With powerful combos and your chosen nation’s playstyle, you can fight your way to victory!

But what truly sets this game apart is the stunning card artwork that brings the fantasy world of Vanguard to life. To showcase this, our local community has selected some of their favorite cards to inspire and excite new players.

Our Hobby Lords Lower Hutt Counterpart meet at every Sunday at 11am too! Don’t worry if you’ve never played before—our experienced members will guide you through your first games with demo decks and helpful tips.
